The car will be designed in South Korea and manufactured in India probably at General Motors Talegaon plant. The Beat concept made its first debut at the 2007 New York Auto Show. The car in India will roll out with a 1.2litre petrol engine and will be positioned between Spark and Aveo. In the later years the car may even get an optional engine of 1.0litre engine.
